Our Company's Story: Nexbelt, a seven-year-old American company, is one of the originators of the ratchet belt in the USA. Although we didn't invent the ratchet system itself, we re-engineered and improved upon it. The underlying technology has been around for 25 years and has long been popular in Asia. It was there that one of Nexbelt's founders, Eddie, first discovered the concept and brought it back to his business partner, Tom, to explore how it could be enhanced further.
Upgrading the Essentials: The first thing we did was to upgrade the leather quality - something that many competitors have overlooked. We took the existing mechanism and designed a unique buckle that resembles a traditional pin buckle, but with the added feature of a hidden ball marker, for which we obtained U.S. patents.
Setting Ourselves Apart: A key differentiator between Nexbelt and other brands is that we design and build our own tools and molds. We don't simply take a pre-existing mold and slap our logo on it. We've invested the time and resources to engineer something truly unique and superior, embodying our design philosophy.
