Our Story: A Seven-Year Journey of Ratchet Belt Innovation
Nexbelt, a seven-year-old company, is one of the pioneers of the ratchet belt system in the USA. Although we didn't invent the ratchet technology itself, we re-engineered it and made significant improvements. This technology has been widely used in Asia for over 25 years, and it was during one of his trips that Nexbelt co-founder Eddie discovered it. Impressed by its potential, he brought the idea back to his business partner, Tom, and together they set out to enhance the design.
The first step was to upgrade the leather quality, something that many competitors had overlooked. We then designed a unique buckle that resembled a pin buckle, with a hidden golf ball marker feature – an innovation for which we obtained US patents.
