Our company is seven years old and is one of the originators of the ratchet belt in the USA. We didn't invent the ratchet system, we re-engineered it and made it better. The technology has been around for 25 years and is very popular in Asia. That's where one of the founders of Nexbelt, Eddie, discovered it. He brought it back to his business partner Tom and discussed what could be done better. The first thing we did was to upgrade the leather – something most companies don't do today. We utilized the existing mechanism but designed a buckle to resemble a pin buckle – and a golf buckle that had a hidden ball marker behind the face - which we received US patents for.
Straps - Our new nylon straps are stiffer and are made from a super-high density microfiber material that is an advanced composite of ultra-fine polyester fibers; this allows the stiffness required for holstering your sidearm if you have CCW permit or just your everyday tools. The backing is sweat resistant making it highly durable for a wide range of use.
Buckle - Granite Brown - Powder coated textured for better wear resistance. Allen head stainless steel screws replacing the pins for a stronger buckle. The clasp body has been lengthened and a new larger clasp with 2 set screws gives a secure hold with extra security.
PRECISE-FIT RATCHET TECHNOLOGY - The adjustable ratcheting buckle mechanism supports a PreciseFit for any belt size up to a 50 inch waist. Our belt straps adjust within 1/4 of an inch, which makes the belt quick and easy to undo or tighten, yet rather comfortable compared to a traditional pin and buckle.
SUPERIOR QUALITY NYLON BELT - Nylon straps are made from a super-high density microfiber material that is an advanced composite of ultra-fine polyester fibers. This allows the stiffness required for holstering your sidearm if you have a CCW permit, or just simple everyday tools.
STABLE STRONG SET SCREWS - The clasp has 2 set screws to give a more reliable hold than just a clasp alone (a Nexbelt exclusive). The belt is equipped with Allen head stainless steel screws instead of pins for a more reliable hold.
HOW TO CUT-TO-SIZE: Step 1: Find your waist size. Step 2: Add 2 inches from your waist size. Step 3: Cut the strap. Step 4: Lift the clasp on the bottom of the belt. Step 5: Insert the cut end of the strap into the belt buckle. Step 6: Secure the strap by pushing the clasp down.
